A collection of around 30 meteorites found on the ice in the Lewis Cliffs area of Antarctica (about 200 km north of the South Pole, near the Beardmore Glacier in the Queen Alexandra Mountain Chain). Each fragment is marked by a flag. Approximately 15,000 meteorite fragments have been recovered from Antarctica over the past two decades (photograph by Monica M. Grady).
