succession of the Huitrin Formation overlying a thick black shale
sequence of the Agrio Formation, northern Cara-Cura range,
Mendoza province. Background: Payun Volcano (3680 m), one
of the most important examples of Cenozoic volcanism in the
retroarc of the Neuquen Basin.
