Oil Rim Development

A new approach to oil rim development

Recovery factors for oil rims are usually low. This paper deals with the possibility of improving the recovery efficiency by means of various combinations of water and/or gas injection. These cases are evaluated both experimentally and by mathematical simulation. The best results are obtained by simultaneous injection of water and gas. The recovery depends on the water-gas injection ratio.
