The fossil bovidae of the Baringo Area, Kenya

A preliminary report is given of bovid fossils from the Ngorora Formation and other sedimentary units in the Baringo area, Kenya. The Ngorora Formation contains boselaphines and a caprine similar to those of Fort Ternan, but showing some interesting changes. The Mpesida Beds contain early examples of extant tribes of antelopes. The Lukeino Formation has a reduncine similar to a Siwalik form, and the Karmosit beds contain two species similar to ones from the Mursi Formation, Ethiopia.
