Class EDRIOASTEROIDEA Billings 1858

First, Camb M.Camb: Stromatocystites walcotti Schuchert, Olenellus Beds, East Arm, Boone Bay, Newfoundland (Schuchert 1919).

Last, Carb Namur: Hemicystites ? carbonarius Bassler, Bluefield Group, Adds Valley, Western Virginia, U.S.A. (Bassler 1936).

Constituent families: Agelocrinitidae Jaekel, M.Camb-Carb Namur; Edrioasteridae Bather, Ord Carad; Cyathocystidae Bather, Ord Llvirn-Ashg; ? Steganoblastidae Bather, Ord Carad.

Comment: The Steganoblastidae (based on Astrocystites Whiteaves) can only be referred questionably to this class.

Class OPHIOCISTIOIDEA Sollas 1899

First, Ord Arenig: Volchovia mobilis Gekker, Magalaspis lst (BII), Volkhov, Leningrad district, U.S.S.R. (Gekker 1940).

Last, Dev Eifel: Rhenosquama westfalica Richter, Selscheider beds, Ebbelinghausen, Westphalia, Germany (Richter 1930).

Constituent families: Eucladidae Gregory, Sil Ludl; Rhenosquamidae Richter, Dev Eifel; Sollasinidae Fedotov, Sil Wenl-Ludl; Volchoviidae Gekker, Ord Arenig.

Comment: Ophiocistioids are known only from Europe and U.S.S.R.

Class INCERTAE SEDIS

Order MEGALAPODA MacBride & Spencer 1938

First and Last, Ord Ashg: Eothuria beggi MacBride & Spencer, Drummock Group, Girvan, Ayrshire, Scotland (MacBride & Spencer 1938).

Constituent family: Eothuriidae MacBride & Spencer.

Comment: The genus Eothuria, originally described as a plated holothurian, is probably best considered as an early aberrant echinoid related to the Lepidocentroida.
