Constituent taxa: Chelodina Bergenhayn (Families as in Treatise pt. I) and Septemchiton Bergenhayn = Solenocaris (Information from Dr. W. D. I. Rolfe) plus Preacanthochitonidae Bergenhayn and Eochelodidae Marek.

First, Ord Ashg: Helminthochiton thraivensis Reed, Starfish Bed, Drummock Gp. Ayrshire, Scotland. (Reed 1911). Extant.

Note: Helminthochiton aequivoca (Robson 1913) L. Ord Aren, Bohemia, appears to more likely belong to the Palaeoloricata.
