First, Camb L. Camb: Lingulella Salter, several sps., precise relative ages unknown, cosmopolitan, (e.g. Lingulella viridis Cobbold, Strenuella Lst. Comley, England) (Cobbold 1921, p. 341).

Extant.

Comment: Represented by several spp. of Lingula and Glottidia in present day oceans. Maximum number of genera in Ord.

Constituent families: Lingulidae Menke, ?Ord, Sil.-Rec; Obolidae King, L. Camb-Ashg; Elkaniidae Walcott and Schuchert, U. Camb-Arenig; Lingulasmatidae Winchell and Schuchert, Carad-Ashg; Andobolidae Kozlowski, Ord (known only from Bolivia); Paterulidae Cooper, Arenig-Wenl; Craniopsidae Williams, Carad-Tourn.

Superfamily TRIMERELLACEA Davidson & King 1872

First, Ord Carad: Eodinobolus dixonensis (Cooper), Platteville Fm, Illinois (Cooper 1956, p. 230).

Last, Sil Ludl: Dinobolus davidsoni transversus (Salter), Lower Llanbadoc Beds, Usk, England (Walmsley 1959, p. 513)

Constituent family: Trimerellidae Davidson and King, Carad-Ludl.

First, Camb L. Camb: Botsfordia granulate (Redlich), Schizopholis rugosa Waagen, and Neobolus warthi Waagen, Neobolus Beds, east Salt Range, Pakistan (Schindewolf 1955, p. 540; Waagen 1885, p. 752); also Botsfordia caelata (Hall) from various localities in eastern North America (Walcott 1912, p. 603), Bastion Fm., E. Greenland (Cowie and Adams 1957, p. 25; Poulson 1932, p. 15), Wulff River Fm, northwest Greenland (Poulson 1927, p. 249).

Last, Sil Wenl: Artiotetra parva Ireland and Acrotretella siluriana Ireland, Chimmeyhill Fm, Oklahoma (Ireland 1961, p. 1138). Undoubted acrotretids, at present known only from their pedicle valves, occur in float material in New York seemingly associated with a L. Dev. Fauna.
